- I am trying to get my A3000 and A4000 to work in a windows network.
- It works with plain TCP/IP. But I want my Amiga's to be part (= shown as icons) of
- the Workgroup I created in Windows 95.
- Currently I am using SAMBA over AmiTCP, and everything looks good on the Amiga-side.
- But for some odd reason, Windows wants me to fill in a password, and it is not a
- password I told AmiTCP to use. Also, when I try to open the Amiga on my Windows-PC,
- the smbd program on the Amiga stops before I have typed in a password (whatever
- password that may be).
- When I look at the logfile generated by Samba on the Amiga, it says "Invalid guest
- account nobody??". Well, I am puzzled.
- The most weird thing of all is, that for a month ago, I had it working!! And now I am
- using the same configurations, and it doesn't work..
-
- Maybe there is another solution to my problem. Another piece of software (freeware or
- shareware) that makes it possible to make the Amiga part of a Windows workgroup.
-
- Who can help me...
